Seeking Free Web Tool for Graphic Design with Custom Font Upload Capability

Viewed 59

I have recently embarked on a personal project that involves marketing, creating logos, icons, and other design elements. For this purpose, I started using Canva, a popular design tool known for its ease of use and comprehensive features. However, I encountered a limitation with Canva's free version, particularly its restriction on uploading custom fonts. This feature is crucial for my project to ensure unique and personalized designs, but it is locked behind a paid subscription.

Given the nature of my project as a personal endeavor, subscribing to Canva's paid service does not align with my budget or needs. I have explored other design tools as alternatives to Canva, hoping to find a solution that allows the use of custom fonts without incurring additional costs. Unfortunately, many alternatives I've come across also restrict custom font uploads to their paid versions, posing the same issue as Canva.

I am specifically looking for a web-based tool that caters to graphic design, logo design, icon design, and the creation of marketing materials. The ideal solution would be a platform that is not only free but also supports the upload of custom fonts in formats such as TTF, OTF, WOFF, or SVG. This feature is essential for bringing my creative vision to life and ensuring my designs stand out with a personal touch.

Specific Requirements:

  • A free web-based design tool compatible with the Windows platform.
  • Support for uploading custom fonts in TTF, OTF, WOFF, or SVG formats.
  • Suitable for graphic design, logo creation, icon design, and marketing materials.
  • User-friendly interface for ease of use without extensive design experience.

Desired Outcome:
I am in search of a tool that meets the above criteria, enabling me to proceed with my project without financial constraints while offering the creative freedom to use custom fonts. The solution should allow me to produce professional-quality designs that reflect my personal style and project requirements.

Use PhotoPea - it's a popular free and open source tool. I have used it and create my logo with the fonts i liked.
